How do you remove face paint?
Removing Face Paint from Skin
When removing face paint start with a thin coating of mild soap approved for use on the face (such as baby soap), and use a soft wash cloth, and warm (not hot) water. Do not use alcohol, mineral oil, makeup removers, strong soaps, or baby wipes.
Once the soap has been massaged in, rinse with warm water. And if the pigment persists, try rubbing coconut oil onto the skin. You should let it it sit for several minutes, and then gently remove it with a soft cloth.
In the rare case in which a pigment is still visible after this process, please wait for 24 hours before attempting to wash the area again. And always make sure to be gentle, because excessive rubbing of skin can, itself, cause irritation.
Removing Face Paint from Fabric
To remove face paint from cloth or clothing, gently work in an oxygen activated laundry stain remover with lukewarm water and soak the garment for at least five minutes to overnight, then wash as indicated on the care label. Avoid using the drier because that can set the stain. Hang to dry and check the stain to see if it remains. If so, repeat stain removal process.

Can I sleep in face paint?
Don’t sleep in face paint as it may cause irritation and/or transfer to bedsheets and blankets.
Do you ever work for free or for “exposure?”
What kind of paint do you use?
These are professional water activated face paints and glitters that are tested for use on the face and eye area. Brand names may include: Kraze, Fusion Body Art, TAG, Diamond FX, Professional Colors, GTX, and Superstar, to name a few. I do not use anything that has not been approved and tested by professional face paint artists.
What if sensitive skin is involved, or irritation occurs?
If sensitive skin is involved, ASK FOR A PATCH TEST. These are professional water-based face paints and glitters that are tested for use on the face and eye area—but those with sensitive skin may still have a reaction.
If irritation seems to be occurring, remove face paint immediately, otherwise remove before bedtime.
Although rare, allergic reactions can sometimes happen. I am not responsible for allergic reactions.
Do you do anything else besides face painting and balloon twisting?
I can do some simple magic tricks (illusions), sand sculpt, tell stories, and MC. I’ve done professional voice acting, college level stage performance, and I’m a published author. I can throw pottery on the wheel, chop boards in half with my hands and feet, create a mean Excel sheet, and type 60 wpm… HAHAHA!!! Finally… I can help you with insurance!!! LOL!!!! (Are you sure you really have enough life insurance? Let’s talk… 😉)
How did you start doing this?
I started doing face painting as a volunteer during church activities. I wanted to do an excellent job so I started researching professional face painting, and after a number of years of volunteering, I started to be asked if I did parties, and I realized it was time to turn this into a business.
I’m so happy that I did! It gives me a lot of joy to be there for families during their special times, helping them to make joyful memories!
